I had a dream last night and its one word I'm looking for to put this puzzle together. I'm not talking about death its self, just another common name, like a gate keeper or a guide, pathfinder etc. Can someone Please help me out?

Black Heart Man. This was originally some Jamaican phrase that was used to refer to the one who would ultimately claim you at the end of your days. There may be some tribal and anamistic tradition wedged in there somewhere with Dupees (the jamaican term for ghosts) and Satan. However, after the advent of catholicism throughout the island the Black Heart Man began to be seen as a juxtoposed opposite to Jesus Christ, whom scripture would call 'the Life' and only Christ could reclaim you from the black heart man and bring you back into everlasting. At some point the term 'black heart man' started being used to refer to policemen or officers in authority, as a physical bearer of punishment or 'reckoning'.
