Shakespeare's Saint Crispin's Day Speech, many major speechs in film & T.V., including Bill Pullman's is based off of this monologue.

The one you mentioned is one of my favorites too. Kinda cheesy sci-fi, but a great speech.

Theoden's speech in LOTR, and also Aragorn's, and Sam Gamgee's about the good in the world being worth fighting for.

Of course, William Wallace in Braveheart.

I also love the part in Gladiator where Maximus reveals his identity and confronts the corrupt emperor.

The general's conversation with Aidid's weapons dealer in Black Hawk Down is pretty good. "300,000 dead civilians isn't war. It's genocide."

For humor, pick any one of Doc Brown's explanations of timelines in Back to the Future.

1:Blues Brothers
Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.

2:Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into locked a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

Or 3:Braveheart
William Wallace: And if this is your army, why does it go?
Veteran: We didn't come here to fight for them!
Young Soldier: Home! The English are too many!
William Wallace: Sons of Scotland! I am William Wallace.
Young Soldier: William Wallace is seven feet tall!
William Wallace: Yes, I've heard. Kills men by the hundreds. And if HE were here, he'd consume the English with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse.
[Scottish army laughs]
William Wallace: I AM William Wallace! And I see a whole army of my countrymen, here in defiance of tyranny. You've come to fight as free men... and free men you are. What will you do with that freedom? Will you fight?
Veteran: Against that? No! We will run. And we will live.
William Wallace: Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

The funniest speech I ever saw was a scene from "Steelyard Blues" (A.K.A. "Final Crash") in which Donald Sutherland plays a demolition derby driver/no-account, ex-con slacker visiting his uber-successful prosecutor brother's office. It's not just the speech that's amazing, it's what Sutherland does to the brother's office in the course of the speech that makes it a classic.

Robert Wise's "The Haunting" (1963):
Elenor's final monologue at the very end never fails to give me chills. "...We who walk here walk alone." with Hill House looming amongst the ominous music. *shiver*

This is not to be confused with de Bont's 1999 remake, which doesn't even deserve to stand in the shadow of the original.

I can't find a clip of the lines, but check out the original trailer:

I have one that probably none of you've heard... I'm Mexican and in a Mexican movie called "Efectos Secundarios" (Secondary Effects), the final speech really gets to me... it's called "Instructions to be 30 years old", but most of it is instructions for life... for youth... (The movie is about a girl that turns 30 and starts to feel old, she goes to a party with all her Middle School friends and everything goes wrong, gets mad with her best friend and so on...)

Here's the link but it is in spanish... I can translate...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyzGye2k9Lk
*Note: some of it has to do with the movie

"The truth is that it doesn't matter if you have died once or more... or any yet, you are always starting again...
Way inside yourself there is nothing you can do... you are always 18... cause you are young only once, but immature forever...
There are no instructions to be 30, but if they existed, they would be the following...
*Make a list of everything you hate about yourself and then throw it away... you are who you are and after all it's not that bad as you imagine a sunday's hangover...
*Throw excessive weights that you carry with you, the trip/road is long and carrying it won't let you look ahead, AND it fucks up your back...
*Don't follow fashion... in ten years from now you'll die of the embarassment at what you wore anyway...
*Kiss as many as you can, let others break your heart, fall in love, fall down and get up again... Maybe true love exists, maybe not, but while you find it, nobody can take away the fun you had...
*Eat healthy (fruits and vegetables), seriously, start getting used to the fact that you will not be able to eat junkies during all your life...
*Be wrong, change, try, fail, reinvent yourself, send everything to the shit and start over every time that it is needed... really, nothing will happen, specially if you do nothing with your life
*Try other icecream flavors, other beers, other toothpastes, start your car one day and don't stop untill you are out of gas, start a rockband, why not, take dance lessons, learn italian, make up another name for you, use a bycicle, forgive,(go to hell), forget, let go, decide who is essential in your life... the older you get, the harder it gets to find true friends, and there is when you need them to know the most who you are without having to explain them who you are... those are friends, take care of them and keep them near you...
*Learn that you won't learn anything, but there is no final exam in this school (life), nor grades, nor prom, nor class reunions (thank god)...
*Happy 30 dude... welcome to the rest of your life..."
