Black looks good on everyone. It is easy to accessorize with any color of jewelery, shoes, etc. It usually looks classy, which is what most floor-length dresses are supposed to do. (Unless, of course, we are talking about a patchwork granny dress, or a tie-died hippie dress. lol)
It depends on what color YOU are DUH!! IF you are white and pale, I would suggest a white dress to make you appear darker, unless you have blond hair, then you'd look like a freak, I'd suggest a light blue dress. but if you have darker hair that will be nice. If you are a pale redhead, I would suggest a pale green dress, very flattering. But if you are a darker skinned white person, a dark blue dress would be nice or metallic blue. If you are Asian stay away from red dresses, just not a good color. Unless you are a middle eastern Asian person, red and gold would be very nice accents to your skin. or a cerulean blue. Very bright colors look great on Middle Eastern Asian women. If you are black and light skinned, I would suggest a lavender dress, makes you skin look amazingly clear. if you are a bit darker but not chocolate yet a gold dress would be beautiful or a midnight blue. For dark skinned black women I would suggest staying away from red just like the Asians, however a dark blue/green would be beautiful in this situation.
