Me and King Gabey throw a summer BBQ where you will find the most tender and delicious ribs ever cooked in this city. I'm serious.. we don't play when it comes to BBQ. First of these annual feasts featured $750 worth of meat, cooked to perfection.. mmm. People ate themselves into a coma... his living room was littered with the victims... One poor girl was just standing in the corner of the room... gently rubbing her stomach and moaning... eventually she laid down and passed out for two hours... then got up and ate some more :-) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Don't eat for a full day before coming.
cheap budget id say soul fire BBQ pit on harvard ave. Try it with the soul fire sauce (one of nine), but espeeecially have it with harpoon brewery root beer.
Looking to spend more money, im going to have to say houstons down in fanuel hall. its a cool upclass place with the sweetest bathrooms ive ever seen. Honey BBQ ribs from there were the first i ever had, maybe it was just poppy love but i do find myself thinking of them often.
Soul Fire in Allston on 182 Harvard Ave has some excellent ribs! Right around the corner from Comm Ave. It was opened by a fellow from S. Carolina who apparently wasn't pleased with our selection of BBQ places here in Boston. It's a nice clean new place. A bit further from downtown, but also very good is Redbones in Davis Square Somerville (not far from the Red Line T stop) http://www.redbones.com. Those are the two best I've found so far.
