Is there life after death?

The existence of life after death is a universal question amongst humanity. Job speaks for all of us by asking: “Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble. He springs up like a flower and withers away; like a fleeting shadow, he does not endure....If a man dies, will he live again?” (Job 14:1-2, 14)?

My beliefs are very different from everyone elses, and they were born out of my personal experiences and perceptions.

That being said, I believe that we as human beings have souls- not just conceptually, but energetically- we have an energetic fingerprint on the energy balance of the planet Earth. I experienced it when I first discovered energy working, auras, and witch craft. Ever since then, I have been able to feel this energy.

But back to the soul thing. I believe that when we die, the soul is seperated from the corpereal body as its heart stops beating and brain function ceases. From there, the soul is guided to wherever it is meant to go based on the person's spiritual direction in life and a more subtle predestination, and we wake up wherever we are. That could be the Christian Heaven, the Christian Hell, Eastern Reincarnation, or even remain as an energy imprint on the Earth, i.e. Ghosts.

Why do I believe it? I had a dream about it. I was home, in my living room with my then and now dead cat. I asked my mom why she was alive. Turns out that me and my mother were both dead, and we were rejoined with my cats in death. At the same time, I had reawakened in another body- I was a native american girl, around... 11, and I lived on a reservation. I was going out to meet my friends. I was not only concious of my existance as a spirit in my house, but I was aware I was alive as another person. This shaped my belief that we simply wake up in another existance.

As for ghosts? 'm a firm believer that I've had ghosts in my house and in my room. Could not see them, but I could feel them.

Just my two cents.

Sure there is .... it's all a matter of perception.

If you are religious (depending on your flavor), you can be re-incarnated, or ascend into some sort of Heaven or Paradise.

For the non-religious, we are added to the circle of life, our bodies decomposing and becoming the basis for new life from the bottom of the food chain up ....

Beautiful by any means or belief ...

Who would know that for a fact, but my opinion that when we die we´re dead and it feels very much like it was before birth, Me not here before my birth and no more of me after death.
Makes sense if something does

We can speculate all we want. People of faith will tell you that there is an afterlife, and atheists will tell you that you just rot in the ground. However, you won't really know until you die, and then you can't tell anyone. As for me though, I wouldn't bank on there being another life, I'd try and make the most of this one.

Life after death is somewhat of a misnomer.

During a severe infection years ago, I clinically died twice in the matter of a couple of days.

Both times, my spirit left my body and met up with some other humanoid entities. It was decided among us that my current life on this earth was not complete at that time, and both times my spirit returned to my body.

While out of my body, my spirit retained what I think of as my "self." That is...my personality, my accumulated knowlege, my personal opinions and preferences...How I perceive the non-physical parts of myself, warts and all.

I would have to say that "life" after death is possible through reincarnation if we choose it, but absolutely existance after death is something I have personally experienced.

I don't know what to believe about heaven and hell. I'm pretty sure that gold streets would not interest me in the least. And the idea of a bunch of little red demons dancing and cavorting around eternal flames is cartoonish and ridiculous to me...so I'll have to wait to the end of this life to find out for sure about those.

Yes, their is life after death. Those who chose to accept Jesus in this life, will live with Him forever in heaven. Those who do not will spend eternity seperated from Him in heaven. Here are just a few verses to support this:
1 Thessalonians 4:15
And then this: We can tell you with complete confidence—we have the Master's word on it—that when the Master comes again to get us, those of us who are still alive will not get a jump on the dead and leave them behind. In actual fact, they'll be ahead of us. The Master himself will give the command. Archangel thunder! God's trumpet blast! He'll come down from heaven and the dead in Christ will rise—they'll go first. Then the rest of us who are still alive at the time will be caught up with them into the clouds to meet the Master. Oh, we'll be walking on air! And then there will be one huge family reunion with the Master. So reassure one another with these words.
2 Thessalonians 1:5
All this trouble is a clear sign that God has decided to make you fit for the kingdom. You're suffering now, but justice is on the way. When the Master Jesus appears out of heaven in a blaze of fire with his strong angels, he'll even up the score by settling accounts with those who gave you such a bad time. His coming will be the break we've been waiting for. Those who refuse to know God and refuse to obey the Message will pay for what they've done. Eternal exile from the presence of the Master and his splendid power is their sentence. But on that very same day when he comes, he will be exalted by his followers and celebrated by all who believe—and all because you believed what we told you.

if you believe in god or a god then you should have no doubt that there is life after death...why do you think sometimes place, people or things seem familar and we know for a fact in this life we havent experienced this things gone there or know them...its our past lives coming through...and for that reason to me it is quite clear there is life after death

We can't know for sure that there's life after death, but we know that there's death after life.
