Penguins are not hunted by the Eskimos, because Eskimos live in the arctic regions, while penguins live in the antarctic. It's too far to paddle in a kayak. The energy gained by consuming the meat of a penguin would not be enough to paddle that far and back.

Some modern-day Eskimos might possibly get on a plane and fly down there to hunt penguins, but I doubt it. The Eskimos I know are far too pragmatic to do such a thing.

Besides, penguins do not taste very good to humans. That's why they are not a popular game bird.

maybe it never occured to them? actually without being too insulting how do you know enough about eskimos to know that they dont eat penguins but not know tha Pengu only lives in the southern hemisphere?

The reason that Eskimos dont hunt penguines are because they would have a fricken long paddle boat ride to get to where the penguins are, then on the way back they would most likely get eaten by killer whales.

Eskimos live on/around the NORTH pole. Penguins live on/around the SOUTH pole.
There's about 12 or 13 thousand kilometers of solid and molten rock between them.

Eskimos don't hunt penguins because there aren't any penguins where the Eskimos live.

not only importing penguins to the north pole is expensive, but it seems eskimos aren't too keen on "chicken" ...maybe for being a not so fat meat...not very good to store energies against the extreme cold

penguins are in the southern hemisphere - antarctica, australia, patagonia - eskimos are in the arctic circle
