For me it´s classical music that runs my ears every day. it comes quite natural for me because i play violin and study music. classical music contains everything for every state of mind and suits me perfect.

I listen to about everything, it just depends on the type of mood I am in. Lately I have been listening to a lot of Hip-Hop. I'm talking about real Hip-Hop. A lot of classics like Biggie, Big L, Binary Star, Tupac, and A Tribe Called Quest. I also throw a lot of new Hip-Hop in the mix too, like Little Brother, 9th Wonder, Jedi Mind Tricks, Wiz Khalifa, Atmosphere, and Lupe Fiasco. I switch back a lot to rock, punk, punk rock, alternative, indie, hardcore, screamo. Anything from Everytime I Die to Cute is What We Aim For. Sometimes I slip in stuff like The Verve, Third Eye Blind, Matchbox 20, and others. There is way too much else to put in here, I just listen to a hell of a lot of music.

Being able to just truly feel the music , and get yourself in that state of mind happens rarely. Alot of the music we lilke is a statement of who we are. most often then not, subjects discipline our own likes. Some people hide their music tastes, due to thier environment. Finding out who you are And being comfortable, will enable you to not pick music upon your peers, butrather enjoy whats enlightening you or encouraging you positively, in turn creates peers worthy of you.

I generally try to play music that is technical in one way or another. Whether it be blazing speeds, shifting time signatures, or very creative songwriting, I like my mind to be challenged musically. Being a drummer, I feel like listening to this music and playing along (even if it is way above my ability) really helps me as a musician.

i try to play something that i feel in the moment, because that´s music!it´s just a way of express yourself,so i don´t put myself in a box,you don´t have to try to play some kind of music what u have to do it´s express yourself through it and that´s what is going to get you to the top and give you more benefits.I think everyone listen to the kind of music that reflects better themself, the kind of music that makes u feel like yourself or the one you think better fits you,and also depends on the mood you´r having.Music is about expression!it´s what u feel!

I work in a record store, so I grow fatigued with music pretty quickly, since we listen to it all day. When I'm home alone I tend to listen to things I wouldn't hear in the store, including classical music (I'm a classical music geek) and stuff my co-workers hate (i.e., electronic music of various types). If I'm doing housework or something, I like to sing along, so I'll play the Andrews Sisters or something easily sing-along-able.

I play guitar and sing on a daily basis, but I think you really what to know what I listen to. I try to listen to music from several different time periods and several different countries every day. So it might be a French chanson from the 1400s, a German song from 1840, Rolling Stones, and Weezer one day and something completely different the next day. I think the variety makes me appreciate the individual qualities of each time, place, and piece more than I could if I listened to only a certain type of music.
