My cousin has a mixed breed dog...One breed we know she is is a schnauzer ...we dont know what other breeds she might be but we were wondering what dogs have dew claws....because her dog...

The doggie stats:
4 normal pads and one dew claw with a nail ( the dog can flex it and use it) AND as well as extra dew claw with a pad but missing a nail located on the inside of the leg-facing towards underneath the body of the dog. The two sets of the dew claws are located only on the front legs. The dog has 6 total pads on both the front legs.

Shes about 19 lbs, she sheds (schnauzer dont really shed), cream color with white bands above her shoulder. She has floppy velvety ears that look like a yellow labs ears with wire white hair sticking out. She has a tail thats about 9 inches. She has a mixture of texture of hair. Her face hair is soft, and her belly...thats where its the whitest. Where she is cream colored its coarse and it sheds easily.

So we were wondering...what dogs have dew claws like the ones described?

from what I have seen in breeding dogs, a lot of different breeds can have the extra paw pads on the front. I always thought it was a minor birth defect, but there could be a difference from breed to breed. Honestly from the description it sounded like it could have any of the following breeds mixed in:

Wirehair Fox Terrier - http://www.big-dog-clothing.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/wire-hair-fox-terrier.jpg

Long Haired Dachshund - http://www.dkimages.com/discover/previews/856/20123161.JPG

Jack Russell Terrier - http://lambfam.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/636px-jack-russell-terrier.jpg

or maybe a distant cousin of whatever the hell my dog is (also an unknown mutt) - http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-1/1130060/azurlbg.jpg

Like Sarika said, if you could upload a picture it would me MUCH easier to determine the possible breeds.
